Industry Veteran joins TEK DigiTel Corporations Advisory Board
Joe Crupi joins group to help steer company through growth phase

GERMANTOWN, MD - November 29, 1999    TEK DigiTel Corporation (OTC BB: TEKI) a developer of voice/data integration solutions, today announced that Joseph A. Crupi, an industry visionary in the area of Internet Telephony, has joined the company's Advisory Board. This newly formed group, to be comprised of industry leaders and notable industry consultants, will bring their extensive industry and business experience to assist the company's management team.

 

Mr. Crupi is the president and CEO of Telogy Networks, a Texas Instruments Company. While at Telogy, Mr. Crupi has been responsible for the company’s growth from its early venture capital phase to its subsequent acquisition by Texas Instruments in August of this year in a transaction worth about $435 million. Mr. Crupi joined Telogy in 1996 after various roles in AT&T including Vice President of Global Business Multimedia Services.

"In addition to being the CEO of the world’s largest supplier of embedded communications software for the Internet Telephony industry, Joe has extensive experience in all aspects of business development," explains Rocco DiCarlo, president of Tek DigiTel. TEK DigiTel's Advisory Board assists the company's management team in shaping the company's business, technology, and product strategies. The role of the Advisory Board members includes the following:

- Provides strategic guidance to the company's management team

- Solicits and presents an objective "outside view" from peers in and out of the advisory board member's respective industries.

- Councils management on a regular basis on issues such as: organizational structure, infrastructure, governance, growth opportunities, market position, and other issues vital to the success of the company.

- Provides TEK management with leads on talented individuals needed to fill key positions.
