TEK DigiTel and Arelnet Partner to Provide Global VoIP Solutions
Union Acknowledges Industry Need for Integrated Carrier Grade and CPE  Gateways

GERMANTOWN, Maryland - September 18, 2000     TEK DigiTel Corporation, (TEKI: EQS) and Arelnet (ARNT:TASE), an Israel based leading provider of carrier grade Voice over IP (VoIP) telephony solutions, announced today they have agreed to jointly develop, market, distribute and sell full scale global VoIP products. The agreement enables both companies to quickly extend their product offerings to new and existing customers.

Arelnet will resell TEK’s customer premise equipment (CPE), under the brand i-Tone Primo,  to complement their existing carrier grade IP gateway. “TEK DigiTel’s CPE devices allow us to complete our VoIP offering, and represents a major step forward in Arelnet’s strategy to bring quality VoIP to customers – small and large,” comments Avi Gliksberg, Arelnet’s VP Business Development. “Our customers have expressed significant demand for a CPE based VoIP solution. The integrated complete VoIP platform will be a significant factor in enabling service providers and CLECs to offer value added communications services tailored for businesses of all sizes.”

Under the agreement, TEK DigiTel will offer Arelnet’s carrier grade IP gateway under its own brand name.  This gateway product is a hot-swappable, no-single-point-of-failure, highly scalable carrier-grade gateway. Up to 24 T1s or E1s can be configured in a single gateway. Multiple units can handle in excess of 5,000 simultaneous calls in a rack mounted stackable configuration. Its high density and excellent price-performance introduces a new dimension of products for converged networks.

By incorporating this carrier grade gateway with TEK DigiTel’s existing V-Server iGATE and OfficeBuilder products and the sophisticated provisioning and network management tool, VoiceServer.net, TEK DigiTel is able to offer complete VoIP solutions to SME customers and service providers alike.  “Our choice of Arelnet for this partnership is significant in supporting our global product deployment strategy,” comments Enghe Chimood, TEK DigiTel’s CEO.  “The quality and price performance of Arelnet’s gateway  is unsurpassed in the industry which will enable us to better address the needs of our existing and new customers in the global VoIP market.”

The Arelnet i-Tone Primo was featured at the recent Voice on the Net (VON) conference held September 11- 14, 2000 in Atlanta, GA. TEK DigiTel will be featuring the integrated V-Server solution at PT/EXPO COMM CHINA 2000 conference to be held in Beijing, China from October 24 – 28, 2000.
