TEK DigiTel Corporation Announces the Engagement of Grant Thornton, LLP

                   

        GERMANTOWN, MD - June 8, 2000    TEK DigiTel Corporation, (TEKI: EQS) announced today that it has retained the public accounting firm of Grant Thornton, LLP as its new independent auditors.  “We are pleased to have engaged Grant Thornton to audit our December 31, 1999 and 1998 financial statements as well as our quarterly statements to date.  These financial statements will be included in a SEC Form 10-SB filing we are working to complete.  We anticipate filing the 10-SB later this summer,” said Enghe Chimood, CEO of TEK DigiTel, “Grant Thornton brings to us the depth and breadth of an international public accounting firm experienced in serving public technology companies like TEK DigiTel.”

 

        Effective April 20, 2000, TEK’s common stock began trading on the National Quotation Bureau’s Electronic Quotation Service (EQS) or “Pink Sheets” under the symbol of “TEKI”.  TEK DigiTel will remain listed on the EQS until the Form 10-SB has been completed, filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission and the regulatory process completed.  At that time TEK DigiTel will be able to reestablish its listing on the National Association of Securities Dealers Over the Counter Bulletin Board (OTCBB).

 

        Although no longer listed on the OTC BB, the following market makers have continued to make a market in TEK’s common stock on the Pink Sheets: FRAN, HILL, HRZG, MHMY, NITE, PRGM, SHRP and WDCO.  Quotations of TEK’s stock may be obtained from brokers or from various websites such as www.quicken.com, www.cnbc.com, www.dljdirect.com, and www.pcquote.com.  TEK’s investor relations department at 1-888-393-4979 (or at 416-323-3888 for callers outside the U.S. and Canada) can also provide quotes from these sources.
